Out Of Phase - Pink Floyd’s The Wall 2000 (2 CD)

A vitriolic, narcissistic semi-autobiography by the group's defacto leader Roger Waters, The Wall is a dense, insular work about how one man became alienated from the outside world, and about all of the people that he blames for his situation. It's such a personal work, so filled with specific targets which are bloodied with relish by Waters' pen. Perhaps this is the reason why an album like The Wall 2000 - Presented by Out of Phase even exists. Out of Phase decided to re-interpret The Wall as vaguely ambient techno - sort of like all the remixes of Pink Floyd's canon that floated around during the mid-'90s, after the Orb made it hip to like the Floyd again.
