A 3 CD Digipak Edition reissue of this classic 80’s album – Wanted.
This 3 CD Edition includes the 11 album tracks from original CD release in 1988 plus 31 related bonus tracks and remixes to make this the most complete collection available of Yazz’s best known releases.
This collection brings together the production and remix talents of Coldcut, The Beatmasters, Youth, Bam Bam, Sound Iration and CJ Mackintosh and Dave Dorrell amongst others.
“Wanted” provided 4 UK hit singles:
‘The Only Way Is Up’: a UK number 1 smash hit as her debut single. Produced by Coldcut this collection includes five versions – the album, 7″ edit, the Bam Bam remix, The Up Up Up mix & the 12″ mix.
‘Stand Up For Your Love Rights’: this follow up peaked at # 2. This collection gathers together the album, 7″, What It Is! mix, 12″ Y’Azzid mix, the Stadium Disco mix, She’s Crazy mix, U.S. remix and U.S. Extended remixes.
‘Fine Time’: Yazz’s 3rd single and a #9 hit in 1989. Produced by Youth we have brought together four versions – the album, 7″, 12″ & Sound Iration mixes.
‘Where Has All The Love Gone’: self-penned final single from the “Wanted” album. Featured are the album and 7″ versions, the remix, U.S. Extended remix and Ghetto mix.
We have also included the non-album top 20 single release of ‘Treat Me Good’ with the 7″, Extended version, Three Amigos mix and the Open Heart mix.
Other bonus material includes the following b/sides; 7″ & 12″ versions of the b/side ‘Bad House Music’, the Juan Atkins remix of ‘Dreams’, ‘I Want Your Love’ and ‘Treatment’. Remixed versions of the album tracks ‘Got To Share’, ‘Wanted On The Floor’ and ‘Turn It Up’.
The 16 page full colour booklet within the Digipak casing features an expanded design of the original artwork, extensive sleeve notes written by Michael Silvester and a full UK discography featuring Yazz’s front cover images.
